Virtual Information Security Consultant Service

A collaborative initiative between ALGIM and SSS for local government, a consortium special pricing rate is available for the Virtual Information Security Consultant Service (VISC) provided by SSS.

It provides access to a range of high quality information security expertise on an as-needed basis.  VISC is ideal for councils:

• that have minimal or no internal information security resources
• have previously had a security assessment performed and need help with prioritising remedial effects and building a roadmap
• do not have the volume of work or budget to employ their own security expert
• that require additional security resource.

VISC provides the flexibility to ensure assistance is on hand when needed.  It provides expertise across all information security domains from architecture, access control, data protection, system hardening and vulnerability management through to regulatory compliance (NZPSR, NZISM, PCI, and ISO) and supplier management.

VISC allows organisations to purchase and consume a pool of hours appropriate to their size, budget and projects.
